Two enterprises which are in the board sphere of Industrial Group (UPEC) are involved into the repairing and building of new freight cars within the program of renewing the rolling stock of “Ukrzaliznytsa”.

In the contract concluded in the end of April “Kharkov Bearing Plant” and “Lozovsky Forging Mechanical Plant” by the end of this year will have supplied the production to “Strysky Car-Repairing Plant” in total amount of more than 5mln.gr

Within the contract by the end of the year about 8000 roller bearings and stamping spare parts for freight cars will have been supplied.

The conclusion of the contract became possible due to the victory of HARP TRADING Company the official distributor of the production of “HARP” and “LKMZ” in the tender, in which “ Stryisky Car-Repairing Plant” defined the supplier of corresponding production.

The supplying of completing units for “Ukrzaliznytsa” plants is one of the main directions for Industrial Group (UPEC). As E..of General Director of “Kharkov Bearing Plant” Vyacheslav Yurov noticed having spent much means and efforts for modernization of “HARP” now “we see that new quality of production is in great demand in the market . So we are planing to take an active part in the building of new cars for the needs of “Ukrzaliznytsa”

Close Corporation “Lozovsky Forging-Mechaniсal Plant” is the biggest forging and hot stamping enterprise in Ukraine and in UIS. The enterprise specializes in producing stamping of 300 different types. The producing capacity is to 180 thousand tones a year. As the plant is a multi-profile enterprise it is also the leader in producing axles for grain harvesters, road-building machines, axles for buses, the details for movable train set of cars. The pure income of “LKMZ” in 2006 increased in 14,3% and was 186,44mln.gr. The part of export in sales increased in 1,7 time and formed 34,66%. In 2007 the enterprise is planning to rise the pure income to 320mln.gr

Limited Company “Kharkov Bearing Plant”(HARP) was founded in 1947. Its specialization is producing ball bearings for industrial uses and roller bearings for railway transport. It is the leader of UIS in bearing production for agricultural engineering enterprises. HARP bearings are widely used in automobile industry, mining , power brunches and metallurgy. Generally it produces over thаn 500 types of bearings. Production capacity amount is about 30mln bearings a year. About 400 thousand people work at the plant. From 2000 the management quality system was organized which corresponds to international standard ISO-9000. The enterprise finished the 2006 with the damage of 13,6mln.gr.,the pure profit was 229,7mln. gr. that was in 1,5% more than in 2005. In 2007 we are planning to have the pure income over than 320mln.g. The enterprise is going to have the profit of about 20mln.gr.

“UPEC” is one of the biggest machine-building company in Ukraine. It was founded in 1995. The Industrial group UPEC includes three directions of activity:

the producing of components (“Kharkov Bearing Plant”(HARP),”Lozovsky Forging-Mechanical Plant”(LKMZ), “Ukrainian Foundry Company”(ULK);

electrical engineering (Kharkov Electrical Engineering Plant “Ukrelectromash”(HELZ);
