From May,15 to May, 18 three enterprises of Industrial group UPEC in the staff of the official delegation of Kharkov region took part in the first national Industrial exhibition of Ukraine, which was held in Minsk. At the exhibition the Industrial group UPEC was represented by Kharkov Bearing Plant, Machine –Tool Building Plant and Lozovskiy Forging-Mechanikal Plant.

The delegation of Industrial group was represented by Eduard Glebov, the Director of “HARP Trading” which is the official distributor of Kharkov Bearing Plant,Vladimir Kohanov the first deputy of General Director of Kharkov Machine-Tool Building Plant and Sergey Shcherbak the deputy director in marketing of Lozovsky Forging-Mechanikal Plant.

In the current year the volume of delivery by Belorussian enterprises from the Industrial group UPEC will be about 30mln $. Among the constant partners of UPEC are: Minsk Tractor Plant, Minsk Motor Plant, “Gomsel’mash” and others. Kharkov Bearing Plant which is the traditional supplier of ball bearings of tractor equipment and its completing units for Belorussian producers in 2006 supplied bearings to Belarus in total sum of about 2mln $.

Close Corporation “LKMZ” supplies stamping of axles bodies and axles for road construction machines for Amkodor and stamping for Minsk Tractor Plant, Minsk Motor Plant, “Gomsel'mash”.

In 2006 NARVEST supplied three units of high technological tools for crankshafts grinding to Minsk Motor Plant. The supply of another 6 units of such equipment is planning in 2007. The Kharkov Kosior Machine-Tool Building Plant regularly produces new equipment for Minsk Automobile Plant. In May 2007 HARVERST loaded a universal circle grinding tool to “Lidagroprommash” one of the leading Belarus agricultural machinery enterprises.

The Ukrainian national exhibition was held to represent the Ukrainian high technological production and the best science-technological elaborate.

More than 100 Ukrainian industrial enterprises and National space agency demonstrated their equipment, elaborates and the newest technologies on the exhibition area of 1200 square km. In particular the Donbas Industrial Union Corporation, Makarov South Machine-Building Plant, Yenakievo Metallurgical Plant,Artyomovsk Machine-Building Plant, Kharkov “Turboatom”,”Azovstal” and others.

Limited Company “Kharkov Bearing Plant”(HARP) was founded in 1947. Its specialization is producing ball bearings for industrial uses and roller bearings for railway transport. It is the leader of UIS in bearing production for agricultural engineering enterprises. HARP bearings are widely used in automobile industry,mining , power brunches and metallurgy. Generally it produces over then 500 types of bearings. Production capacity amounts is about 30mln bearings a year. About 400 thousand people work at the plant. From 2000 the management quality system was organized which corresponds to international standard ISO-9000. The enterprise finished the 2006 with the damage of 13,6mln.gr.,the pure profit was 229,7mln. gr. that was in 1,5% more than in 2005. In 2007 we are planning to have the pure income over than 320mln.g. The enterprise is going to have the profit of about 20mln. gr

Close Corporation “Lozovsky Forging-Mechanikal Plant” is the biggest forging and hot stamping enterprise in Ukraine and in UIS. The enterprise specializes in producing stamping of 300 different types. The producing capacity is to 180 thousand tones a year. As the plant is a multiprofile enterprise it is also the leader in producing axles for grain harvesters, road-building machines,axles for buses,the details for movable train set of cars. The pure income of “LKMZ” in 2006 increased in 14,3% and was 186,44mln.gr. The part of export in sales increased in 1,7 time and formed 34,66%. In 2007 the enterprise is planning to enlarge the volume of sales in 30% and rise the pure income to 240mln.gr. and the part of export is planning to be to 50%.

“Kharkov Kosior Machine-Tool Building Plant” was put in operation in 1936. During the years more than 90000 units of equipment and more than 600 models were produced . The products of the plant were exported to 41 countries worldwide including USA, Italy, France,

Belgium, Japan, China, India and United Kingdom. The mid-1990^th the plant went through a drastic decrease in production volumes,but after the coming of UPEC to the plant in the end of 2001 the rebuilding of the plant began. The enterprise orients to the production of the equipment for metallurgical plants ,the enterprises of heavy and medium mechanical engineering,engine-building enterprises, shipbuilding, enterprises of light, food,automobile,agricultural and bearing industry. About 600 people work at the enterprise.

“UPEC” is one of the biggest machine-building company in Ukraine. It was founded in 1995. The Industrial group UPEC includes three directions of activity:

the producing of components(“Kharkov Bearing Plant”(HARP),”Lozovsky Forging-Mechanical Plant”(LKMZ), “Ukrainian Foundry Company”(ULK);

electrical engineering(Kharkov Electrical Engineering Plant “Ukrelectromash”(HELZ);

machine-tool building (“Kharkov Kosior Machine-Building Plant”(Harverst)

The group UPEC also includes:”Sewing Factory Named after Tinyakov”,”Factorial-Bank”, and other enterprises. The gross profit of enterprises which are in the Industrial group UPEC was about 1mln.gr. in 2006.
