One of the largest press-forging enterprises in Ukraine – Lozovsky Forging-Mechanical Plant – has been certified by company SKF (Sweden) and is among the strategic partners of this world-known manufacturer of bearing products.

LKMZ has certified its production of billets for the hubs of trucks, supplied by SKF to the leading worldwide manufacturers of automobiles, such as Mercedes, Volvo etc.

The said unit is regarded as the “know-how” of SKF and, in the volumes of its output, the company is ranking as one of the world leaders.

SKF is expected to become a significant customer of LKMZ in the near future. The prospective annual volume of product sales amounts to 4,200 t billets, and in the years to come it must grow up to 8,000 t. At present, the press-forging factory has dispatched to SKF a pilot batch of products.

The planned collaboration between LKMZ and SKF will strengthen relations that have sprung up between UPEC and the international industrial group.

There is another enterprise currently cooperating with SKF, i.e. UPEC - "KhARP", which has passed a preliminary audit of its quality assurance system as per the standards of SKF and will become a supplier of racers for cylindrical, ball and tapered bearings.

The high level of relations is also evidenced by the fact that a representative of UPEC is invited to the conference of strategic suppliers of SKF scheduled for March, which will be only attended by as many as 40 enterprises, whereas the company presently collaborates with more than 13,000 firms.
