JSC U.P.E.C holds the tender for equipment purchase for Lozovsky Forging-Mechanical Plant (LFMP).

Machining centers for axles body are the main things in this purchase. The necessary class full equipment world price is more 1 million euro. UPEC intends to buy some sets of such full equipment, having reserved 3 million euro for these purposes (aims).

Some well-known west companies have already shown interest in this tender, such companies as Dorries Scharmann and SHW (Germany), also Huron (France).

UPEC will sum up the tender's results on November 15th, not later.

Purchase of the new equipment for LFMP is held within the limits of technical reequipment of this enterprise, necessary for the development of its export opportunities, first of all for execution of the important contract with the Minsk tractor plant for front axles delivery (15 thousand units of production annually for the sum of money about $30 million). As a whole, during the period of 3 years UPEC intends to involve $20 million investments for modernization of LFMP with the purpose of cooperation development with Minsk tractor plant.

"LFMP" Close Corporation, the largest die forging manufacture in Ukraine and CIS. The output capacity - about 180 thousand ton stampings a year, it specializes on a mass large-lot production of stampings (300 various names). Being the versatile enterprise, the plant also is the leader in axles manufacture for tractors, road-building equipment, produces axles for buses, details for a rolling stock of railways. Enterprise net profit sold products in 2005 was 163 mln uah. In a current year the enterprise plans to increase its net profit by 10 %, making it about 180 million uah.
