Industrial Group UPEC initiates creation of Agrotechnological Centre “Slobozhanskiy”
The Industrial Group UPEC, one of the biggest private Ukrainian enterprises specializing in machine building business, initiates creation of Agrotechnological Centre “Slobozhanskiy” – union of a number of leading enterprises and scientific organizations of Kharkiv region in agricultural sector.
The presentation of Agrotechcentre will take place in the Industrial Group UPEC on April 29, 2010. It is planned to present each participator and to sign “Memorandum of Cooperation” that specifies mutual work in the area of agrotechnologies, manufacturing of agricultural products, skilful tillage and improvement of soil fertility.
According to Anatoly Girshfeld, President of the IG UPEC, as agriculture is one of the priority sectors for Ukraine, we can enhance economic situation in our country and wellbeing of its citizens through development of this area. “Kharkiv is a traditional centre of agricultural engineering and science. Today, while creating Agrotechcentre, we join together efforts of science and production for development and implementation of innovative technologies in farming. We strive to create an integrated centre with full cycle of up-to-date agrotechnologies,” he said.
Aleksey Grinenko, Chief Designer of Ukrainian Engineering Centre of Transmissions and Chassis (belongs to the IG UPEC), says that the goal of Agrotechcentre is to unite capabilities of different enterprises and institutes for providing a full set of services to farms. «A customer has to come and receive a set of services: attend a seminar on innovative technologies and new opportunities, order research of his soils, take advice, solve his problems with used equipment, and buy fertilizers, new equipment… Precisely these so-called “community clubs” actively appear worldwide – there is much to gain from it for all participants,” says A. Grynenko.
Vladimir Puzik, chancellor of Kharkiv Dokuchaev National Agrarian University, says that Agrotechcentre is going to create a joint information resource for spreading participants’ developments, to create exhibition centre on the basis of the Dokuchaev KhNAU for presentation of new agricultural equipment.

1215–1230 Ceremonial signing of “Memorandum of Cooperation between Enterprises and Organizations of Kharkiv Region” within Agrotechnological Centre “Slobozhanskiy”.
1315–1415 Products demonstration of participants of ATC “Slobozhanskiy” in field conditions – at the territory of Kharkiv Dokuchaev National Agrarian University.
